It has been a rough couple of months for me. As you might have noticed, I started my Walking Dead recaps and never got past episode 1. There was a reason for that. My daughter contracted the B strain of influenza. Most people just get sick with it and recover over a week or two. Unfortunately for my daughter, her body had an adverse reaction to that strain and ended up in hospital in an induced coma while the awesome medical staff at Monash Medical Centre tried everything they could to save her life. For five days we did not know if she would live or die. It was a nightmarish time that I never wish to revisit.

Luckily, our daughter pulled through. And, while she still has ongoing health concerns, she is alive. This is the best Christmas present any parent of a sick child could get.

But, to celebrate, I am giving away copies of two of my books free of charge over the next five days.

Rachel Tsoumbakos Metanoia 375

METANOIA is a dystopian zombie apocalypse novel that can be picked up free just by clicking here.

Unremembered Things (Book #1 in The Wood Nymph Chronicles) by Rachel Tsoumbakos

UNREMEMBERED THINGS is a paranormal romance and can be picked up for free from here.

These books will be free from December 22nd through until December 26, 2015.

As well as these freebies, all my other books will be on sale for only 99 cents!

I hope everyone has a safe and happy Christmas and new year’s. Please hug the ones you love extra tight.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

  1. Oh, Rachel. What a nightmare. I’m glad your daughter’s okay. yes, I’ve missed your recaps; they are so much fun to read. But I’d sooner read that your kid’s on the mend. Hang in there and don’t forget to take care of yourself, too!

Thanks Susan. The wonderful staff at Ronald McDonald House have been making sure my hubby and I take care of ourselves. It has been a nightmare two months but it is nice to finally come out the other side. Our daughter still has months of rehab in front of her but it is a much better prognosis than when she first came out of the coma.
