Quick & Easy Homemade Xmas Gift Idea – Chocolate Christmas Bark

With Christmas only days away – what do you get for that certain someone who has everything? Or, alternatively, what do you bring a plate of on Christmas day? Well, why not whip up a batch of Chocolate Christmas Bark?

Easy to make Christmas Recipe: Chocolate Christmas Bark

It’s a Christmasey alternative to everyone’s favourite – Fruit ‘n Nut Chocolate. It took me 30 minutes from start to finish for this recipe and the result is just stunning (and delicious!) Just a note though, if you (like me) think that 85g of pistachios and 1/3 cup of cranberries doesn’t sound like enough – it isn’t. Please feel free to double these amounts!

Chocolate Christmas Bark

*Makes approximately 20 pieces*

85g shelled pistachios

400g dark chocolate

200g white chocolate

1/3 cup dried cranberries, roughly chopped

*Melt chocolates in separate bowls

*Line a 25cm x 38 cm baking tray with baking paper. NOTE: I didn’t have a tray this size, so I cut the paper to 4 cms larger and folded up the sides to make a temporary mould

*Spread the dark chocolate and then drizzle with the white chocolate. Using a knife, swirl to make a marble effect

*Sprinkle with pistachios and cranberries

* Refrigerate for 15 minutes and then break into shards. Package as desired
