AMC’s The Walking Dead Season 4: Webisodes Are Now Live!

Ashley Bell stars as Karina in AMC's The Walking Dead Season 4 Webisodes entitled 'The Oath'

Fans of AMC’s The Walking Dead have been HANGING out for these new webisodes. They are called The Oath and are broken up into three parts.

The Oath, Part 1 (entitled Alone) starts with a zombie swarm and the introduction of Paul (Wyatt Russell) and Karina (Ashely Bell). Paul has been injured but reminds her of their oath to each other, convincing Karina to flee and leave her dead loved ones behind. The rush is now on to find medical supplies:

The Oath, Part 2 (entitled Choice) introduces the super-nice, yet strangely-creepy Gale (Ellen Greene) in a hospital that looks suspiciously like the one Rick (Andrew Lincoln) escaped from in Season 1, Episode 1 of The Walking Dead! Gale patches Paul up but his health is still deteriorating. While we wait for the outcome, we find out more about the Gale’s backstory and the oath she has made:

The Oath, Part 3 (entitled Bond) concludes this Walking Deadiverse story. It is a little longer than the previous two webisodes yet feels so much shorter! I can’t say much about this one without giving too much away, but let’s just say that both Paul and Karina have to live (or die) by the choices they have made:

So, what did you think? Did it whet your appetite for the return of The Walking Dead Season 4 on October 13th or did it just make the wait seem a whole lot longer?! Let me know in the comments below.

Thanks for posting these Webisodes Rachel. First I’ve heard of them.
By the way, I’d been reading about why Frank Darabont left the show, or was asked to leave and discovered that he had the idea for a backstory involving the US Army at the initial outbreak of the affliction. I think it would have made a gripping storyline, but apparently it was binned due to budget restraints, which as we all know, is the very reason he left.
What do you think of that possible backstory?

    • mrszoomby says:

Marc I am DESPERATE for some backstory about the outbreak! 😀 Apparently there will be a new spinoff series of TWD that will focus around the outbreak, so if this is the reason Frank Darabont left then it was all for nought 😦 Maybe they’ll take him on board for the spinoff?

  4. Marc says:

Me too Rachel. For me, it’s an essential ingredient to understanding the outbreak, how it developed and how it finally became uncontrollable.
At this stage, I have to say that I got tired of the Governor pretty early on and much more absorbed in the reasons behind the illness.
Has this aspect been satisfactorily explained?
For example, in Night of the Living Dead, I believe it was a meteorite, although I may be wrong.
Oh by the way, I get a ‘not available in your country’ message for these webisodes, except the first one. I found a way round it of course, but who exactly benefits from such restrictions, which are daft?

    • mrszoomby says:

Oh, I hate the ‘not available in your country’ videos! We get them ALL the time here in Australia 😦 I don’t get it either – we are all a global community now, everything should be available to everyone! LOL

I must admit, I like the Gov story line, but that was more to do with the fact that Season 3 delved deeper into the lives of the characters. It helped somewhat to alleviate the fact that I am desperate for more info 😉

  5. Marc says:

It seems he’s suing AMC, so not much chance of him going back lol.
But stranger things happen at sea.
